Clara's War: One Girl's Story of Survival

Clara Kramer

About the Program

Clara Kramer, a Holocaust survivor and co-founder of the Holocaust Resource Center at Kean University, recalls her twenty months in a hidden bunker in the basement of a German family's home in Nazi-occupied Poland.  The family of the Kramer's house keeper took in eighteen Jews after hearing of Jewish families being taken to the woods to be killed.  Ms. Kramer, who was 15 at the time, kept a diary of her experience.  Clara Kramer appears with her co-author Stephen Glantz at the Marriott in Newton Massachusetts.
