About the Program

Greg Jaffe, co-author of "The Fourth Star," talks about four generals who rose to power following the Vietnam War and ended up playing crucial roles in the planning and execution of the current Iraq War.  The generals profiled are: George Casey, Peter Chiarelli, John Abizaid, and David Petraeus.  This talk was hosted by the U.S. Army Command &  General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.

Greg Jaffe is the Pentagon correspondent at the Washington Post and previously held the same position at the Wall Street Journal.  He was part of the Wall Street Journal team that won the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting.
