About the Program
From the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. a panel discussion on war crimes tribunals, both past and present. Participating are: William Shawcross, author of "Justice and the Enemy: Nuremberg, 9/11, and the Trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed"; David Scheffer, author of "All the Missing Souls: A Personal History of the War Crimes Tribunals; and David Koh, legal adviser to the State Department and former dean of Yale Law School.
William Shawcross
William Shawcross, founding member of the International Crisis Group, is the author of many books, including "Sideshow: Kissinger, Nixon, and the Destruction of Cambodia" and "The Quality of Mercy: Cambodia, Holocaust, and Modern Conscience." Mr. Shawcross's father, Hartley Shawcross, served as lead prosecutor for Great Britain during the Nuremberg Trials.

David Scheffer
David Scheffer is a professor of law and director of the Center for International Human Rights at Northwestern University School of Law. From 1997 to 2001, he served as United States Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues. Prof. Scheffer participated in the creation of the war crimes tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda.

Harold Koh
