About the Program

Karl Meyer and Shareen Blair Brysac present a history of the British and American involvement in the Middle East.  From Lawrence of Arabia to Paul Wolfowitz, the authors recount how these countries shaped the region from the drawing of borders to the establishment of leaders.  This event was hosted by the Carnegie Council for Ethics and International Affairs in New York City.

Mr. Meyer is the author of numerous books, including "The Dust of Empire" and "Tournament of Shadows" that he co-authored with Shareen Blair Brysac.
